Devil’s Den State Park

This time we visited Devil’s Den State Park which in part of the Ozarks Mountains in NW Arkansas and I gotta say that it is really awesome. I really like the outdoors and this trip was perfect, we went hiking and got to see the mountains up close and the nature around me.

Lake Fayetteville

Lake Fayetteville is comprised of 458 acres of land and 194 acres of water. In 1948 bonds were issued to construct Lake Fayetteville. The lake was completed in 1949. The lake was named Lake Fayetteville in 1950. The Beaver Water District was established in 1959 by Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville to provide the cities with treated water from Beaver Lake.

Downtown Bentonville

The other day I visited downtown Bentonville to check it out and really liked it, it is not that big, but it’s really nice. There is a really nice bike trail, Heritage Trail, that extends for about 1.5 miles, and of course I wasn’t gonna walk 1.5 miles with dress shoes. Juts took pictures at the entrance, but enough of the “talking” and now, with the photos….a picture is worth a thousand words…

Prairie Creek Park, Beaver Lake

Me and some friends visited Prairie Creek Park/Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas, the place is really nice and the lake is huge. There is nothing like this where I live and I was really impressed by the lake and the park. There is a part of the lake designated to go swim, but we didn’t get a change to get into the water this time, next time we’ll make sure to take the appropriate clothing :) .

From South Texas to Northwest Arkansas in Pictures

Every year my school has an event called HESTEC (Hispanic Engineering, Science and Technology) and a lot of companies come down looking to hire students, either for internship or full-time. Last year I interviewed with Walmart ISD (Information System Division) and got an internship with them for this summer. My trip lasted about 14hrs in two days and 823 miles; I left McAllen, TX on Thursday, May 20th, spent the night at Plano, TX, and the next day headed to Springdale, AR where I’m going to spend three months.
